Insist on Your Right to Education

Uneducated citizenry is like a pitch any game can be played on it. Illiteracy is what has given the politicians in Ghana the chance to fool so many people for so a long a time.

Pratt: I Support BNIs Action

prattThe managing editor of the Insight newspaper, Mr. Kwesi Pratt, has announced his support for BNIs action of current and detention of the former information minister, Hon. Asamoah Boateng. He said he saw nothing wrong with the BNI for arresting and putting him into cells.

According to him, the latter was playing ‘hide and seek” with the security personnel, so now that he has willingly appeared before them, the best thing is to detain him and send him to court. He however expressed his condolences to the late Kankam, an AFAG member and a CPP activist who died in the process of demonstrating against Asabee’s detention, but blamed the deceased for not valuing his life and for supporting someone who was flouting the laws of the country.

Mr. Kamkam was reported dead this morning as a result of the inhalation of tear gas fumes fired into the crowd who had gathered at the BNI office in solidarity with Asamoah Boateng’s. Zuleika, wife of Asamoah Boateng, confirmed on Peace FM that indeed, Kamkam had lost his life, and expressed her condolence to the bereaved family. The body of the deceased is reported to have been taken to the mortuary for post-mortem examination despite his family’s refusal on grounds that he was a moslem.
