Insist on Your Right to Education

Uneducated citizenry is like a pitch any game can be played on it. Illiteracy is what has given the politicians in Ghana the chance to fool so many people for so a long a time.

NPP still has a long way to in the Volta Region
The Ho Central candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the 2008 Parliamentary elections, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa has growled at gossips that, the New Patriotic Party in the Volta Region has lost its grounds since the NDC Government took over governance from the previous NPP administration.

This follows criticisms from many that, the New Patriotic Party, after losing the 2008 Presidential Elections to the National Democratic Congress under the Presidency of Prof. Mills have all gone into hiding with their party offices in Volta especially Ho, under lock and key. Others also say that, the “rot” and vile behaviours put up by members of their party to bring the region in disrepute has come back to haunt them so they have all coiled into their shells in undefined disgrace while some of their loyal members have pulled out to join the NDC.

In an interview granted Dr. Letsa, the CEO of Miracle Life Clinic, he debunked all such comments from the public that the New Patriotic Party has lost its grounds in the Region saying, “the fact that the NPP did not win the 2008 Presidential elections means that the New Patriotic Party in the Volta Region is weak. Politics is a win or lose affair, thus the die was cast and who was supposed to win won so nobody should go about prattling about the NPP in Volta that we have gone into hiding because we have lost the elections. The NDC themselves have lost the election in the year 2000 and we came on till Ghanaians have decided to give them the chance again. To go about saying we are veiling ourselves because we lost the elections is sheer propaganda.”

Adding, Dr. Letsa says the New Patriotic Party however has now build a solid foundation in Volta because it has learned from its past mistakes and is gradually going to sweep souls for the party in the Volta Region soon after the party elections have taken off. He however pledged the NPP's commitment to the people of Volta and urged all and sundry to join the New Patriotic Party win elections come 2012.
