Volta Regional Minister, Joseph Amenowode |
The Volta Regional Minister, Joseph Amenowode has reiterated government’s commitment to making Ghana’s economy a vibrant one. He said despite the global credit crunch confronting the world, government will not renege on its promise to develop the country.
Mr. Amenowode said this when the Chiefs and elders of Abutia Traditional Area called on him at his office in Ho. He said government will continue with projects already initiated by the previous government. He therefore advised encroachers around the Kalakpa Forest Reserve to relocate before government takes action against them.
The Paramount chief of Abutia Traditional Area, Togbega Abutie Kodzo Gidi appealed to the regional minister to facilitate the early completion of hostel facilities for both boys and girls and a three unit classroom block at the Abutia Secondary Technical School.
He also appealed to government to complete the road from Abutia Kloe to Juapong to connect the Ho-Accra highway, and Abutia Kpota Teachers’ bungalow and Abutia Kissiflui health center
