The Nigerian Red Cross Society has put the figures of children left orphaned after July's clash between the Boko Haram sect and the country's Police force to 1,264 in the Northern state of Maiduguri whiles over 392 women losses their husbands and 48 houses left homeless after the clash. - "We currently have more than 1,264 children orphaned by the crisis under our care as at the last count", Alhaji Bullam Gubio chairman of the organization told the Nigerian Daily Trust Newspaper. Gubio disclosed that "more than 392 women who lost their husbands during the crisis were also receiving assistance from the organisation," whiles adding that more than 48 households rendered homeless after the cr....
