Mr Kennedy Agyapong is one Member of Parliament who has always been at the forefront in the fight against corruption and has gone to the extent of bringing important issues to the public domain for the attention of the ordinary Ghanaian; a statement signed by Mr Kwamena Duncan, Regional Secretary of the NPP stated. According to the statement, Mr Agyapong had been doing this without fear or favour so he deserved commendation and honour, especially with the exposѐ on the stinking, gargantuan Woyome judgement debt saga. “But for Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, the Ghanaian public would not be aware of the wanton dissipation of the state’s resources to the extent that a whopping GH¢580 billion of the taxpayer’s money had been doled out to an NDC financier, Alfred Agbesi Woyome, for no work done,” it stated. The Central Region branch of the New Patriotic Party, the statement pointed out, was proud of Mr Agyapong’s untiring determination to fight for the poor, the voiceless and to die for mother Ghana in general, despite the concoctions, fabrications and the several attempts to denigrate and malign him; all in a fruitless attempt to gag him. 'It is our strong conviction that with the Almighty God on the side of Honourable Kennedy Agyapong, all the evil machinations of the nation wreckers will come to naught, it stressed. The statement assured Mr Agyapong that the regional and constituency executives, as well as the entire regional members of the NPP were solidly behind him and urged him on to do more for mother Ghana.
