In its latest release on the political outlook for Ghana, it says the party is set to suffer because of the financial scandal that has rocked the Mills administration.
The March 2012 report projects that the outcome of the December presidential polls could be just as close as that in 2008 and could well hinge on how the public perceives the ongoing woyome scandal.
"Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) released its first investigation report into the scandal involving unjustified payments to a man
with links to the NDC. A number of arrests stemmed from EOCO’s findings. Although the swiftness of the EOCO report and the decisiveness of the arrests that followed demonstrated that Mr Mills was taking the matter seriously, his reputation has been badly damaged by the scandal."
