Fifi Kwetey is a congenital liar-Sammy Awuku
The Deputy Communications Director for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Samuel Awuku has described the Deputy Finance Minister, Fifi Kwetey as a congenital liar.
Samuel Awuku says “Fiifi Kwetey is noted of lying through his teeth and propagating false accusations against his political foes till date”.
He maintained that President Mills appointed Fifi Kwetey as Deputy Minister because of his “lying spree”, adding, “this is the attitude of the NDC as the party came to power through propagating lies”.
He claimed that the NPP prior to the 2000 elections, promised School Feeding Program, National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and Metro Mass Transport for School Children during their electioneering campaign and delivered those promises when they came to power.
But the NDC promised STX Korea Housing Deal, One time premium for NHIS ahead of the 2008 elections but has not delivered on this promise within three years in office.
Samuel Awuku said these in response to Fifi Kwetey’s address at the NDC’s most recent setting the records straight series in which he outlined what he (Fifi Kwetey) described as unprecedented achievements by the NDC government within three years in office.
Fifi Kwetey stated among others, that sectors as Road construction, Electricity expansion, Agricultural improvement and the reduction in inflation rates within three years in office, cannot be compared with the eight-year rule under former President Kufuor and the NPP.
In a sharp rebuttal on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Friday, Samuel Awuku rubbished these claims.
The Deputy Communications Director said prices of goods and services have increased drastically since the NDC administration came into office.
However, Deputy Propaganda Secretary of the ruling NDC, Solomon Nkansah maintained the NDC and the Mills administration have excelled in all areas of development within the last three years.
He stated that the NDC regime has ensured expansion in the Agric sector as importation of poultry products has been reduced drastically, giving a sigh of relief to poultry farmers.
