Rev. Jesse Jackson on the need for level playing field for all Americans
Rev. Jesse Jackson has called for all nations to give equal opportunities and provide level playing field for all their citizens irrespective of race, colour or religion. He made the comment during an interview with BBC Hard Talk host Stephen Sackur.
Refering to African-Americans he asked rhetorically: "Why do we do so well in football, baseball, basketball, tracks, golf and tennis because whenever the playing field is even and the rules and goals are clear we quite do well but when it comes to access to the job market, access to healthcare, access to capital, to education the playing field is not even, the rules and the goals are not clear.
