An alleged secret of the founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former President of Ghana, ex-President Rawlings concerning his wish to sideline Prof. Mills and his running mate, John Mahama, off the Party has been revealed by his close ally to a media practitioner, Mr. Kwasi Pratt. Mr. Pratt, who had earlier on spoke on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” Morning Show, described ex-President Rawlings as a “dragon or lion” who ruled unconstitutionally. He said he had a text message forwarded to him by some leading members of the NDC before electing their 2008 flagbearer, which was virtually a threat or warning to them by their Party founder, Mr. Rawlings, not to choose Professor Mills as a flagbearer for the NDC. He quoted the text message as: “don’t try to endorse Mills as a flagbearer, if you do, get an ambulance ready.” Mr Pratt confirmed Hon. Botwe’s statement on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” Morning Show that, there should be close checks on ex-President Rawlings or else he could do something “stupid”. Pratt also revealed that he had documentary proof that the founder was also against the appointment of Hon. John Mahama as a running mate. According to him, the founder wanted Mrs. Betty Mould Iddrisu to be the running mate for Professor Mills. Before concluding, Mr Pratt said, the founder hates the idea of President Mills and his Vice leading the Party. This is a secret which the NDC Party do not want to reveal. He claimed he had evidence to all that he told Peace FM on “Kokrokoo” Morning Show. By: John Nyaaba |
