Mr. Kwame Amporfo-Twumasi, Member of Parliament for Nkoranza South, has advised the youth and supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be disciplined and law-abiding in order to keep the nation stable and peaceful.
The MP noted: "Ghanaians have proved their maturity in participatory democracy through successful general elections within the past 16 years and have remained as one people and lived peacefully in their communities and I think we should keep that"
Mr. Amporfo-Twumasi was addressing more than 200 supporters of the party at Nkoranza at the weekend during which aspirants for the party's constituency's executive elections were introduced to the district electoral college.
He explained that the introduction of the constituency executive elections was aimed at acknowledging the oneness of the aspirants who share the vision of enhancing the growth of the party.
The MP commended the impressive attendance at the programme and urged the youth and supporters to maintain the spirit and support the party to adopt strategies that would enable it to win back power in 2012.
Mr. Amporfo-Twumasi also lauded the peaceful elections at the various polling stations in the constituency and advised party members to exhibit the same spirit during other elections to promote peace and understanding in the communities.
Meanwhile the constituency executive aspirants are on a tour of the communities to introduce themselves to the delegates towards the constituency elections in December this year.
