Kotoko move to third place

Asante Kotoko moved to third place on the league table and remained seven points behind league leaders Hearts of Oak.

Substitute Alex Asamoah scored his 13th goal of the season for embattled Kotoko in the 72nd minute against Wa All Stars on Sunday. The feat preserved coach Herbert Addo's unbeaten record since taking charge of the team.

Meanwhile the league leaders, Hearts were held to a one-all draw at the Ohene Gyan Sports Stadium in Accra.

Hearts shot ahead through Charles Taylor on 26 minutes but Akwasi Swalley of Real Tamale United (RTU) wiped the lead on the stroke of the half-time.

Other results:

Arsenals 0-0 Hasaacas

Lions 0-1 Liberty Professionals

All Blacks 1-0 King Faisal

Eleven Wise 2-1 Sporting Mirren

Tema Youth 0-1 Chelsea of Bechem

Kessben 0-0 AshantiGold
