NDC Regional Secretary outline plans for future elections


The Greater Accra Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), at the weekend brainstorm on the best strategies to put in place to context subsequent elections.

The exercise formed part of the agenda of a delegates’ conference of the party at Ablekuma Central.

Nii Vanderpuije, Regional Secretary of the party explained that branch executives and election supervisory teams would be made to sign designed forms to be distributed to the National and Constituency offices during elections.

He said any branch executive who would wish to contest any constituency position should work at least four years at the local level.

Nii vanderpuije advised party members in the constituency to be wary of trouble makers whose interest is to retard the progress of the NDC.

He urged them to unite and stand firm to facilitate the pending constituency’s congress of the party.

Mr Yusif Adisa, Constituency Chairman urged those who aspire to become party executives to file their nominations to contest the elections and desist from organising people to create confusion.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, the Member of Parliament for the area, Mr Theophilus Tetteh Chaia called for unity and co-operation from the party members to ensure the progress of the party.
