TUNISIA: Mustapha Ben Jaafar, Opposition leader confirms candidacy in Tunisia's election

Tunis, Tunisia - The leader of Tunisia's opposition Democratic Forum for Freedom and Labour (FDLT), Mustapha Ben Jaafar, on Thursday submitted his election documents to the Constitutional Council in Tunis to contest the next presidential election.

He is one of the four opposition leaders contesting the election that also has the incumbent president, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, as a candidate.

The other opposition candidates are Mohamed Bouchiha of the Popular Union Party(PUP), Ahmed Inoubli of the Unionist Democratic Union (UDU) and Ahmed Brahim of the Ettajdid (Renaissance) Movement.
