Insist on Your Right to Education

Uneducated citizenry is like a pitch any game can be played on it. Illiteracy is what has given the politicians in Ghana the chance to fool so many people for so a long a time.

Unfinished charge sheet on Kosmos stolen from AG’s office

Attorney General Betty Mould-Iddrisu has tasked the security agencies to investigate the theft of partially prepared court documents from her office.

The documents include an unfinished charge sheet with a series of charges the AG is contemplating filing against the EO Group, a partner of oil exploration firm Kosmos, who together with Tullow are developing the Jubilee Fields.

Mrs Mould Iddrisu says she only decided to go public after Joy News called her to confirm the charges which had then been published on a news website.

Madam Betty Mould Iddrisu tells Joy News she cannot fathom when and how the confidential charge sheet was taken from her office.

She said she had informed the CID who are vigorously searching for the culprit involved in the theft.

The Attorney General would not mention any suspects but said she is confident those behind the theft and leakage of the document would be rounded up.

Madam Mould-Iddrisu would not deny or confirm that all the charges listed on the charge sheet are indeed going to be filed against the EO Group.

According to her, the publication of the entire chart sheet is a breach of the legal procedure.'

The leaked charge in the media says 25 charges have been leveled against EO Group and its directors.

They include causing financial loss of several billions of dollars to GNPC, money laundering and conspiracy to forge official documents.

Media reports in the past had indicated that the FBI and the Attorney General were investigating both Kosmos and EO Group but the so-called leaked document was, however, salient on KOSMOS charges. Again however the Attorney General would not comment.

Earlier, Madam Mould-Iddrisu told Joy News that charges would be filed very soon.
