Insist on Your Right to Education

Uneducated citizenry is like a pitch any game can be played on it. Illiteracy is what has given the politicians in Ghana the chance to fool so many people for so a long a time.

CPP Lambasts NDC Over "Mole" Allegations Against Kabilla

The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) has in strongly worded press statement lashed back at the National Democratic Congress (NDC), particularly its National Propaganda Secretary, for describing James Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr, the CPP’s National Youth Organiser as a mole of the NPP within the CPP.

Kabila, as Mr. Bomfeh Jnr, is popularly called, on Monday, August 2, filed the writ at the Supreme Court seeking an interpretation of the constitution on international transactions such as the Government of Ghana - STX agreement, which he says does not comply with Article 181 of the constitution, particularly Clauses 2 and 5.

Obviously not pleased with Kabila’s criticisms and court action, the NDC’s Propaganda Secretary, Richard Quashigah, issued a statement denouncing the CPP Youth Organiser’s move and went further to say that “having observed the utterances, association and action of Mr. Bomfeh over the last three years, one is amply convinced that he is being used by the NPP to create the impression that they are not alone in the unreasonable effort of preventing a project that is intended to benefit the larger interest of Ghana.”

But in a stinging statement, signed by its General Secretary, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, the CPP lambasted the ruling government for its baseless attack on Kabila and called on the NDC to stick to defending its policy decisions without resorting to personal accusations.

“If criticism is the yardstick by which NDC determine what a mole is, then the real mole the NDC should be concerned with is their own loose cannon; founder Jerry John. He is the greatest critic of His Excellency the President and in a most shameful and disgraceful manner,” the statement read.

Read Below the full statement issued by the CPP in reaction to NDC's condemnation of Kabila.

The Convention People’s Party (C.P.P.) would like to make it absolutely clear that it considers recent remarks by the propaganda secretary of the National Democratic Congress, suggesting that the C.P.P. National Youth Organiser is a mole for the New Patriotic Party as totally baseless and without foundation.

In this regard, we urge the NDC to behave like a Party in Government. They should stick to defending their policy decisions without resorting to personal accusations casting false slurs on people’s characters that are worthy of legal redress.

If criticism is the yardstick by which NDC determine what a mole is, then the real mole the NDC should be concerned with is their own loose canon; founder Jerry John. He is the greatest critic of His Excellency the President and in a most shameful and disgraceful manner.

NDC, please wake up and stop embarrassing the President by your endless gaffes and vile propaganda. Your Better Ghana is being endangered and your honeymoon period is most definitely over. Leave Kabila alone.

SIGNED IVOR KOBINA GREENSTREET
GENERAL SECRETARY
