Mills is ‘Professor Do Little’ - Akufo-Addo

The flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo has referred to President John Evans Atta Mills as ‘Professor Do Little’, saying he has failed Ghanaians.

He said the president should be referred to as ‘Professor Do Little’ with his ‘Better Ghana Agenda’ he promised Ghanaians.

“...The Professor who is in charge of our affairs, President Mills is now known as ‘President Do Little’ and it is important that all of us work together to make sure that Ghana has the sort of government that the people of Ghana deserve," he said.

He made these comments at his residence when the losing candidates of the flag-bearer race (with the exception of Evangelist lawyer Kwame Koduah) met with him Tuesday to formally congratulate him and also pledge their support for him as he leads the party to in search of power from the ruling National Democratic Congress in the 2012 elections.

Nana Akufo-Addo won the party’s flag-bearer slot on Saturday in a nationwide polls, the first of its kind in the country, amassing some 78% of the total valid votes cast.

The meeting is coming ahead of the formal meeting between Nana Addo and the National Executives of the party later Tuesday.

Nana Akuffo-Addo said Ghana is a nation of tremendous talent and how to put all of that together to create the brighter, positive future is the main aim of their meeting.

“A nation of tremendous talent, a nation of people with great initiative and enterprise; How we can put all of that together to create the brighter, positive future that awaits us, that is why we are all here.”

Also in attendance was the party’s chairman, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey; General Secretary Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie; immediate past general secretary Nana Ohene Ntow and Stephen Asamoah Boateng, the immediate past chairman, as well as other party bigwigs.

The meeting also discussed prospects for the party in the Atiwa bye elections scheduled for August 31.
