Okudzeto Ablakwa: Kuffour was not Ejected
Deputy Information Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has denied reports that Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has been ejected from his controversial Ridge office by the National Security. Spokesperson to the former President, Frank Agyekum told Citi News that the former President on Tuesday packed out of the office following a call from the National Security for him to hand over the property.
He said the National Security failed to explain rationale behind the move. However speaking to Citi News, the deputy Information Minister said the former President decided to quit the ridge office on his own. He stressed that government did not order the ejection of Mr. Kuffuor although he acknowledged that the Ridge property is meant for use by the National Security. Mr. Okudzeto revealed that government has currently acquired an alternative property at the Airport Residential Area in Accra for the former president to use as his office.
