Insist on Your Right to Education

Uneducated citizenry is like a pitch any game can be played on it. Illiteracy is what has given the politicians in Ghana the chance to fool so many people for so a long a time.

Separated: Bishop and Florence Obinim with their 2 children
MRS. FLORENCE Obinim, one of Ghana’s finest female gospel artistes, has packed bag and baggage and headed for London with her two kids without the knowledge of her husband, Bishop Daniel Obinim.

The ace gospel singer, who is three months pregnant, according to impeccable sources, left for London somewhere last week after a heated quarrel with her husband, who is the founder and leader of the International God’s Way Church at Kenyanse Bosore off the Antoa road network.

Deep-throat sources from the church informed DAILY GUIDE that Bishop Obinim has for sometime now been engaging the 2007 Best Gospel Discovery of the Year in fiery fisticuffs at their matrimonial home at Brofoyedu, near Kumasi.

Due to the recurring blazing wranglings, the popular gospel musician, according to some church members who spoke to DAILY GUIDE on conditions of anonymity, had been threatening to seek divorce in order to get her peace of mind.

Though certain high profile personalities including some top pastors in Kumasi had prevailed upon the 27-year-old to have a change of mind, the gospel musician maintained her stance.

Sources at the church told DAILY GUIDE that Mrs. Obinim finally carried out her threat somewhere last week when the 32-year-old Bishop once more picked another quarrel with her.

According to reports, the gospel musician, after the last quarrel, secretly traveled to Accra, the nation’s capital, with her two kids before finally emplaning for London.

Having been devastated by the absence of his wife, Bishop Obinim last Sunday reportedly threatened to end his life prematurely in front of his congregation if the ace gospel singer does not return to her matrimonial home.

Against this background, the church members, according to sources, have been directed to commence one week of fasting and prayer, so God would make Mrs. Obinim return to her matrimonial home as soon as possible to avoid a situation where their founder and leader would end his life prematurely.

Countless attempts by DAILY GUIDE to contact Bishop Obinim for his side of the story proved futile, as he failed to respond to several calls and text messages sent to his cell phone.

It would be recalled that Esther Smith, another Kumasi-based gospel musician, in similar circumstances, recently left for Germany with her kids without the knowledge of her husband, Rev. Anthony Ahenkan.

After failing to respond to pleas from some top pastors to return to her husband, the ace gospel musician, who has a lot of awards to her credit, finally divorced him.
