His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Professor John Atta Mills has blamed the current economic crisis in the country, partly on claims that the former NPP Administration dissipated the national coffers, leaving no funds for the management of the economy. Addressing the people of Goaso in the Ashanti Region yesterday, President Mills admitted that the country is going through crisis but accused the former Kufuor led administration of mismanaging the country. According to him, Ex-President Kufuor left the country broke, hence making it difficult for him to fix it. According to our reporter, Bernard Quanson, the President had told the people not to blame him for anything but rather, the NPP Government, for deceiving Ghanaians for eight years. The report also says the President promised the people that he would fix the economy to improve the standard of living in the country. Source: www.peacefmonline.com |
