The flagbearer of the CPP, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom has pleaded that people should not get him wrong, about a press release he issued to the various media houses in reaction to the shortage of premix fuel. He was speaking on Peace Fm’s morning show “Kokrokoo” today, Thursday, July 30, 2009 in reaction to an allegation made against him on the show, by the managing editor of the ‘Gye Nyame Concord Newspaper,’ Mr Alfred Ogbame, that he Dr. Nduom suggested that the government should not subsidize premix fuel. Dr. Nduom dismissed the allegation, explaining he suggested that the government should not interfere in the premix fuel distribution and sales, but not that the government should take away subsidies, “so don’t get me wrong: please”. According to him, he wants premix fuel to be abundant and sold in the country like how diesel is sold, to make things easier for our fishermen. His reaction therefore made Mr Alfred Ogbame to withdraw the allegation, adding that he probably misunderstood Dr. Nduom’s press release. Source: www.peacefmonline.com |
