Two people in Asokwa, a suburb of Kumasi have been arrested by the Police with a whitish substance suspected to be cocaine.

According to Joy Correspondent, Ohemeng Tawia, the Police picked up Sylvester Avidayi, 19, with 100 wrappers of the substance after thorough surveillance.

He said Sylvestor on his arrest, directed the police to one Ali Mumuni, who he alleged was the owner and dealer of the substance.

Ali was subsequently arrested.

District crime officer DSP David Gyabaah in an interview said the dealer is related to a notorious criminal, Awudu Karim who was shot dead by a joint military/police patrol team last month.

The police are yet subject the substance to forensic test even though the suspects have allegedly confirmed the substance to be cocaine.
