Latest report on the fatal clash between Konkombas and Dagombas at Agbogbloshie indicates that three people lost their lives while several others sustained injuries. The Director of Public Affairs at the Police Headquarters, DSP Kwasi Ofori, who disclosed this on Peace FM’s Morning Show, “Kokrokoo” described the incident as “a bloody one.” According to him, “it’s an ethnic or tribal conflict between two factions.” DSP Ofori further revealed that one of the victims died on the way to a Hospital. He appealed to local chiefs and opinion leaders in and around the Konkomba Market and Agbogbloshie, to advise their kinsmen and followers to desist from any criminal acts. He gave the assurance that since Agbogbloshie is a market area, the “police service will do everything possible to protect lives and property of residents.” By: Alex Offei / peacefmonline |
