A 19-year-old boy, Jonathan Avorgah is reported to have inserted his fingers into the private part of a 69-year old woman in an attempt to rape her. This incident happened around a public toilet at Odorkor in the Greater Accra municipality. Speaking on Peace FM, Inspector Irene Opong of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), confirmed the incident and explained that Jonathan attacked the woman when she went to ease herself in a public toilet at Odorkor. According to her, the woman struggled to prevent him from raping her yet the boy managed to finger her. Inspector Opong also disclosed to Peace FM that the boy acted under the influence of drugs and therefore advice the youth through our medium to desist from using drugs in order to become acceptable in the society.
