The National Youth Organiser of the CPP Mr. Kwabena Bonfeh, popularly known as Kabilla, has described the NDC administration as hypocrites. He was speaking as a resource person on Peace fm’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ in reaction to the release of alleged drug barons Kwabena Amaning a.k.a Tagor and Issa Abass who were convicted in 2006. According to Kabila, the NDC party in opposition by then politicized the issue, by putting pressure on the then NPP government to deal with the suspects, including ACP Kofi Boakye, who is currently on leave. He added that most of the pro-NDC papers criticized the then NPP Administration for wasting time on the issue and accused them of trying to cover up the issue, but after convicting them, the NDC has come round to set them free. He made it known that he was not against the law taking its course, but the NDC acted so hypocritically simply as a deceit for votes from the citizens. Kwabena Amaning popularly known as Tagor and Alhaji Issa Abas were convicted in 2006 under the NPP regime but were released last Friday, following orders by the high court, which claimed their conviction was not right.
