Insist on Your Right to Education

Uneducated citizenry is like a pitch any game can be played on it. Illiteracy is what has given the politicians in Ghana the chance to fool so many people for so a long a time.

Mills is on top of his game: government tells Sekou Nkrumah

Government has dismissed claims by Sekou Nkrumah that President Mills is failing.

The Acting Coordinator of the National Youth Council told Joy FM’s Sammy Darko the lives of Ghanaians have remained the same two years after the Mills-led administration took over the reigns of government.

He attributes the failure of the government to what he says is the lack of charisma, vision and leadership of President John Mills.

He believes that the NDC needs a new dynamic leader who has gone through the mill and can well define his goals.

He does not however think that ex-first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings is the right person either.

But the Deputy Information Minister, James Agyenim-Boateng told Joy News’ Steven Anti the comments are unguarded.

“In the first place it is preposterous; it is baseless and it is without foundation,” Mr. Boateng said in response to Sekou Nkrumah’s assertions.

“We have an excellent leader in President John Evans Atta Mills. We have a president who is fair and firm. He is in control and in charge of affairs.

“We have a president who is committed to the prudent and efficient management of the economy. We have a president who is honest, trust worthy and is committed to the fight of corruption

“Indeed if these are not the virtues of an excellent leader then I do not know what we want in an excellent leader,” he touted.

He refused to be drawn into whether Sekou Nkrumah will be relieved of his position except to say that “we should adopt a wait and see attitude.”
